Boots

My favorite comic strip character as a paper doll - Boots. Edgar Martin was the creator of Boots and Her Buddies. This is the earliest Boots paper doll I have been able to find. It appeared in newspapers in July of 1930.

Snow White from Wee Wisdom

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" from WEE WISDOM Magazine. It is from the 1930's. The artist is Dorothy Wagstaff. My mom was lucky enough to find many WEE WISDOM magazines at Half-Price Books.

The Twinkle Tots From Cutout Town

"The Twinkle Tots From Cutout Town" - one of my favorite paper doll series. The earliest one I have is dated August 25, 1923 but I do not know when the series actually started. The series was reprinted in the 1930's. I do not know the artist. I have been able to find 11 of the paper dolls in the series but I believe there are many, many, more to find. I love all the hats. Even the boys in this series have lots of hats. The names of these two twinkle tots are Barbara Jane and Patsy.

Bride and Groom

This is the earliest newspaper paper doll that I have found. It is from The Daily Inter Ocean and is dated February 24, 1895. It is titled "The Paper Dolls' Wedding 1. Bride and Groom".

Cinderella

This newspaper cut-out is from a Kentucky newspaper dated April 03, 1902. Most of my paper dolls and cut-outs are from newspapers and magazines.

Peter Piper

Another Modern Mother Goose Cutout. This one is dated July 25, 1937. I have over fifty Modern Mother Goose Cutouts - I do not know how many were in the series. Addie R. Woodruff has another series of paper dolls called Modern Fairy Tale Cutouts and I have around thirty of those.
