My LITTLE WOMEN Paper Dolls

Another piece of my childhood.  I am note sure of the date of  these LITTLE WOMEN paper dolls, late 1960's or early 1970's.  Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy and Laurie are ready to play.

KEEPING UP APPEARANCES

 I came across this webpage in 2008.  Wonderful paper dolls of characters from several BBC shows.  Here are Richard and Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet) from one of the best BBC comedy series, KEEPING UP APPEARANCES.  www.spiraclemusic.com also had paper dolls of characters from ARE YOU BEING SERVED, a David Suchet paper doll as HERCULE POIROT , and a paper doll of "The Cat" from RED DWARF.  I do not know if these paper dolls are still available at this site.

 Fancy Dress Ball.  In this episode, Hyacinth has to settle for a costume as the Warrior Celtic QUEEN BOUDICCA.

 Sea Fever.  In this hour-long episode, Hyacinth and Richard embark on a Holiday cruise aboard the QE2.  Onslow and Daisy, having won a contest, are also aboard.

 The Power of Hats.

The Steiner Paper Doll

Halloween Fun With DOLLY DINGLE & Friends

Bellerophon Books

Bellerophon Books published some of my favorite paper doll and coloring books. The images above are from their "Infamous Women Paper Dolls" book, 1976. Other Bellerophon paper doll books that I have are "Great Women Paper Dolls", "Henry VIII and His Six Wives", "Elizabeth I" and "The Royal Family". Lots of fun as paper dolls and also fun for the historical facts.

The METROPOLITAN MUSEUM Of ART Activity Book, 1989

These Japanese paper dolls are from The Metropolitan Museum of Art Activity Book by Osa Brown. A terrific book for any child or adult that enjoys paper crafts.

Lord Peter Wimsey's Girlfriend

For all you mystery lovers - a Harriet Vane paper doll. Dorothy L. Sayers, one of my favorites, penned the terrific Lord Peter Wimsey mystery series and this is his girlfriend as a paper doll. I found this paper doll in a book about mystery writers. Jane Langton created the Harriet Vane paper doll. Tomorrow I will post the Duchess and Miss Climpson, also from the Lord Peter Wimsey series. I bought the book from, yep, Half-Price Books.

THE MUSEUM OF COSTUME Cut-Out Doll

My mom purchased this paper doll at THE MUSEUM OF COSTUME, Bath, England. She and Bobby, my brother, traveled for a couple of weeks in England, Scotland and Wales. My mom had battled colon cancer for many years before the trip and she deserved to go and have big fun, and she certainly did have big fun. About 1987.

BEADRA Paper Doll by LaVerne, 1982

This is one of three paper dolls I have by LaVerne, the other two are too large to fit on my scanner. The dolls have great expressive faces. I bought the paper dolls in 2001 at, where else, Half-Price Books. The label reads "LaVerne, VELB Associates, P.O. Box 1212, Bellevue, WA, 98009."
