September 23, 1935. The comic strip "Brick Bradford" made its debut on August 21, 1933 and lasted until April 25, 1987. Story line was by William Ritt and the comic strip was illustrated by Clarence Gray.

HERKY'S New Summer Wardrobe appeared in the Sunday Comics of April 21, 1935. HERKY was a comic strip by Clyde Lewis. I have found one other paper doll from this comic strip for Easter time. Anyway, it still feels like summer in Houston with highs in the upper 90's and no rain. I think HERKY is kinda funny.

Officer 6-7/8 Paper Doll, 1935

The comical cop from the "High Pressure Pete" newspaper comic strip as a paper doll. I have already posted the paper doll of High Pressure Pete. Paper doll appeared in newspapers in April of 1935. - - - - - - - - I have had jury duty all week long and it finally ended today. It was a criminal case of enviromental crimes. The verdict was guilty. What the jury found out today after the punishment phase was that the defendant in the case will next go on trial for the attempted murder of his sister with a bomb placed in a box of candy. A very scary man. - - - I hope to get back to regular posting tomorrow.

A paper doll that looks very much like Shirley Temple. This paper doll is also by Marjorie Wales. From September 29, 1935. This paper doll series ran for many years in an Utah newspaper. Marjorie Wales drew many of the paper dolls but some were submitted by the youngsters of the area. Very similar to "Aunt Elsie".
