Beware of Flying Monkeys!
Another picture from THE WIZARD OF OZ coloring contest. The flying monkey is from August 29, 1939. The picture had a lot of dark lines running through it and I tried to clean it up the best I could. Happy Halloween.

JUDY and Elf, 1933
"This is Judy, who is known as one of the prettiest girls in the neighborhood. She has lovely blonde curls and deep blue eyes. She loves to dress like the older girls and poses for you in this picture with her best friend and bodyguard, Elf, her Russian wolfhound." I found Judy, a Laura Brock paper doll, in a newspaper from October 30, 1933.

From Leonard Maltin's Movie & Video Guide - "SO DEAR TO MY HEART. 1949 Warm, nostalgic Disney film about young boy's determination to raise a black sheep and bring him to State Fair competition. Brimming with period charm and atmosphere; several animated sequences, too. Songs include 'Lavender Blue (Dilly, Dilly).' Screenplay by John Tucker Battle, from Sterling North's book 'Midnight and Jeremiah'. Director: Harold Schuster; starring Burl Ives, Beulah Bondi, Bobby Driscoll, Luana Patten and Harry Carey. ***1/2." - - - I have never seen this movie, but it sounds like a movie I would enjoy.
