Here are two more paper dolls from the Betty Cut-Out series. The Spanish doll and the Russian doll are from the series of six dolls of all nations that appeared in newspapers in November of 1924.

These two paper dolls are from the Betty Cut-out newspaper paper doll series. The Swedish doll and the Dutch doll were two from a series of six dolls from foreign countries that appeared in the newspaper the first week in November of 1924.

He's A Mean One, Mr. Grinch - 1970

This GRINCH coloring contest sponsored by The Bon Marche appeared in a Washington newspaper on November 29, 1970. How The Grinch Stole Christmas!, the book by Dr. Seuss, was published in 1957. The wonderful half-hour television special by famed animator Chuck Jones premiered in 1966. Every Christmas as a child, and almost every Christmas as an adult, I have watched Rudolph, The Grinch and the Charlie Brown Christmas shows.

BABES IN TOYLAND Movie Coloring Contest, 1961

The Disney movie version of the Victor Herbert Operetta. Babes in Toyland starred Ray Bolger, Tommy Sands, Annette Funicello, Henry Calvin, Gene Sheldon, Tommy Kirk, Ed Wynn and Ann Jillian. The movie was directed by Jack Donohue. This coloring contest appeared in newspapers on December 14, 1961.
